COMPUTER BASED TRAINING FROM OATmedia

OATmedia

OATmedia is the creative arm of Oxford Aviation Academy (OAA), specialising in the creation, development and production of both traditional and CD-ROM-based, multimedia training products for use by students of OAA, and for sale of those products on the world market. At present, the OATmedia team is developing and producing a comprehensive range of interactive Computer Based Training (CBT) products and books for both professional and private pilots. OATmedia has also recently launched its first CBT in the general education subjects of Maths and Physics.

To date, OATmedia has published twenty-one multimedia training CD-ROMs, which cover, among other things, the whole of the JAA PPL ground and flying training programme, as well as further subjects at ATPL level. Among our recent titles area; Gas Turbine Engines, The IMC Rating & Instrument Flying and ‘The JAA Night Qualification’. We have also recently branched out from the purely aviation training market, having launched in September this year the first two multimedia CD-ROMs in our “Essential” series of general education subjects. The first two CD-ROMs, in this series, are Essential Mathematics Part 1’, ‘Essential Physics Part 1 and Essential Physics Part 2.

OAA’s renowned 15-volume sets of JAA ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Manuals (shown left) are used by ATPL Flying Training Organisations (FTOs) throughout Europe, and are fast becoming the European standard work for professional pilot ground training. OATmedia is currently developing PPL Ground Training textbooks, as a companion work to its PPL CBT.
