  HEAD OF TRAINING


Based at our UK Oxford centre, this role is responsible for the overall senior training management and policies of our ab-initio airline pilot training courses – both Integrated and Modular. This is a UK CAA Approved FTO post and applicants must have training experience in both single pilot and multi pilot aircraft. This role will require extensive travel to our growing number of ab-initio flight schools world-wide.


  CHIEF FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR – MULTI PILOT TRAINING


Based at our UK Oxford centre, this role is responsible for the management, design and delivery of all our ab-initio multi-pilot training courses – currently using our 2 B737 and CRJ simulators through highly experienced instructors. You will also be responsible for the design and development of new MPL training courses - utilising the full range of 40 full flight simulators throughout the Group. Applicants for this role must have previous multi-pilot training experience – ideally on EFIS aircraft types.


  TRAINING CENTRE MANAGER


Based at our USA Phoenix Goodyear airport, this role is responsible for the overall management of a very busy flight training centre – including 130 students, a fleet of 36 aircraft and a staff of 70 employees. Applicants for this role must have had a least 5 years operational management experience – to include the management of a full P&L budget.


  GROUND INSTRUCTORS (FULL OR PART TIME)


We have an immediate requirement for Ground Instructors to teach Radio Navigation, Operational Procedures, Meteorology, Air Law and Instrumentation. Previous experience as a pilot or navigator and a formal qualification in, or experience of teaching aviation subjects to potential pilots, are essential.


  WEEKEND FLIGHT OPERATIONS / DESPATCH ASSISTANT


We require a person to control the operations of the flight support/dispatch desk from 8 am to 5.30 pm on Saturdays.

This is a customer focussed role which will involve allocation of OAA resources as set by the Scheduler. Duties will include filing flight plans for OAA customers and instructors, booking of IFR approaches at external airfields and assisting with external flight line operations eg engine starts, topping up oils, de-icing aircraft.

You will be expected to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in addition to being well organised, able to work on your own initiative as well as being a good communicator. Solid telephone etiquette and IT skills are essential.


  LICENSED AVIONICS ENGINEER (B2)


We require an unrestricted Licensed Avionics Engineer (B2) with extensive avionic and electrical experience of Piper PA34 & PA28 aircraft.   The main job role is the completion and certification of all scheduled and unscheduled avionic and electrical maintenance required by our UK fleet.

This is a full time job which may involve working during some weekends and evenings. Ability to work well within a small team and manage strict deadlines is essential.


  US BASED FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS


We are expanding our USA flight training operations at our Phoenix Goodyear centre. We require JAR-FCL qualified Flight Instructors for both single and multi-engine training. Eligibility to work in the USA is required.

Starting salary $40,000 pa (higher for experienced instructors) plus an attractive bonus scheme, generous benefits and a relocation package.


  EXPERIENCED FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS


We are seeking experienced JAR-FCL ME/IR Flight Instructors with excellent interpersonal qualities and a genuine passion to transfer skills to highly motivated, pre-selected trainees.

Starting salary £41,200 pa plus an attractive bonus scheme and generous benefits.


  AVIATION SUBJECT SPECIALISTS REQUIRED

OATmedia is the creative design unit of Oxford Aviation Training, responsible for developing computer-based training (CBT) for both the pilot and the general education markets.

We seek specialists who will plan, lead and produce CBT courses up to JAA ATPL level, in the following subject areas:

  • Instrumentation
  • General and Radio Navigation
  • Autoflight

These projects are envisaged to take up to one year per subject.   The salary for all posts is at the level of £24,000 per annum. Ideal experience and qualifications are:

  • Experience as air transport flight crew.
  • Be or have been a flight instructor, either civilian or military.
  • Be skilled in the use of the English language.
